The word "Click" is a simple word, but to Chatchai Boonyaprapatsara, it means the scene of City, Citizen, Culture, Context, Conflict, Colour and Concept meeting up in one "Click" coincidentally on the street.

 

The exhibition "Click :The Coincident" is a collection of 5 years experiences of the unpredictable city's scenes (Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore). Where and when he finds a mystical communication link between the subjects, feels and sees the continuous dialog between his main subject and the culture and ambient of our modern society in the background, it is a worthwhile coincidence. He fires a quick snap street shot that makes a "Click" in his head: visually inspiring, conceptually food for thought and as many times simply entertaining.

 

"Click" คำที่เรียบง่าย และใช้กันอย่างกลาดเกลือนจนแทบจะไร้ความหมาย เช่นเดียวกันกับภาพของความจําเจที่เกิดขื้นบนท้องถนนที่ผ่านไปทุกๆวินาที แต่สำหรับ ฉัตรชัย บุณยะประภัศร คือการลั่นชัตเตอร์บันทึกภาพ คน เมือง วิถีชีวิต วัฒนธรรมที่มีหลายหลาย สีสัน ทั้งในความเหมือนและความต่าง ที่มาบังเอิญมาบรรจบ เกิดขึ้นในภาพและเสี้ยวเวลาเดียวกัน

 

เป็นเวลากว่า 5 ปีที่ฉัตรชัยท่องไปตามท้องถนนของ กรุงเทพ โฮจิมิน ซิตี้ และสิงคโปร์ หลงใหลไปกับการใช้จินตนาการมองหาเสี้ยววินาทีที่จะลั่นชัตเตอร์จับภาพของ Subject ที่บังเอิญมาสัมพันธ์กันพอดีกับ background หรือกับสิ่งแวดล้อมรอบข้าง ทําเกิดเป็นภาพที่มีนัยใหม่ที่แฝงไว้ด้วยจินตนาการอย่างสร้างสรรค์
